Friends of Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge

Witness the spring courtship flight of the American Woodcock.  As the sun sets, the male performs an aerial flight to impress the female.  Peents, spirals, twittering zig zag plunges are all part of the spectacle that takes place every evening in early spring.

Dress to be outside.  Feel free to bring a chair.  There will be a short walk to the field.  In case of rain. the outdoor event will be held Saturday, March 28.
